What financing is for

Two situations come up most often. The first is a full fit-out, where the cooking line, refrigeration, prep benches, sinks and shelving all have to be bought at once, months before the room earns anything. The second is a single expensive piece, usually a combi oven, a walk-in or a dishwasher, dropped into a kitchen that is already trading and already has its cash committed elsewhere.

In both cases financing does the same thing: it spreads the cost of equipment you will keep for years across a longer period than a single invoice allows. Whether that is the right call depends on your numbers, not on ours. What we can do is put the option in front of you at the same time as the quote.

Custom work belongs on the same list

If part of your kitchen has to be made to measure because a standard table or sink will not fit the room, quote it together with the rest rather than treating it as a separate job. The four things to put together

• The equipment listModel numbers where you have them, or a description and a quantity where you do not. A floor plan or a rough sketch of the room helps if the layout is still open.
• Your business detailsThe legal name of the business, the address it trades from, and the person we should be speaking to about the order.
• Where it is goingThe delivery address, or a note that you would rather collect from the warehouse in Surrey.
• Your timingWhen the kitchen has to be running. That decides what is worth ordering now and what can wait.

Delivery and the rest of the invoice

Delivery is a separate, quoted charge. We ship anywhere in Canada, but it is priced per order and per address, and it is never free, so ask for it early and count it in when you are working out what to finance. The alternative is collection from our warehouse at 107 - 12332 Pattullo Pl in Surrey, which is normally ready within 24 hours, so the delivery charge does not arise at all. Design and installation, where you want it, is quoted per project as well. Nothing is bundled in silently.

When buying outright still makes more sense

Financing is not the only way to make a difficult budget work. We hold used and open-box equipment, and a well-chosen second-hand fryer or prep table can free up the money for the one piece that genuinely has to be new. Plenty of kitchens are built from a mix: new where the workload is heaviest, used where it is not.
