The Bios Professional PS199 is a digital infrared thermometer with a laser pointer meant for monitoring food temperatures. By monitoring food’s temperature, you can prevent undercooking. It can give a reading in less than one second and features a lock mode if you want to scan for temperature continuously.

This thermometer has a 12:1 distance to spot ratio and includes a 9V battery. Its temperature range is from -58° to 536° Fahrenheit (-50° to 280° Celsius). It also has a ±2% or 2° C of range accuracy and comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty. This thermometer is for reading food temperatures, it is not for use with humans.

There are two types of thermometers: analog and digital. Analog thermometers are typically good for giving you a read of food temperature without having to open the door and interrupt the cooking process. Digital thermometers can, however, give you a quicker read and are a little more accurate.
